If you don’t see anything in the left preview port simply press your Scalar Parameter Node and change its default value to something above 5, I like to keep mine around 10 to 14.After this drag the final pin on the right of the Multiply Node into the Emmisive Color node on the main board in the Material Editor. Now all you need to do is connect the White Pin from the Vector Parameter to the A (Or B, depending on how you like to keep things tidy) pin on the Multiply Node, then drag the pin from the Scalar parameter to the opposite pin in the node. Now add a Multiply node by right clicking and typing in Multiply or holding M and left clicking on the editor. Now hold S and do the same as before anywhere on the Material Editor screen to create a Scalar Parameter (This is going to determine how much of a glow the object has, or how Intense the glow is).Next hold V on your keyboard and press anywhere on the Material Editor screen to create a Vector Parameter (Simply put this is where you will choose what color you want the glow to be). From the menu on the left change the Blend Mode from Opaque to Additive and the Shading Model from Default Lit to Unlit.Double click on the material to open the Material Editor.Make a new folder for Materials if you don’t already have one.I have been experimenting with the Material Editor lately and have found a way to create a simple glow material in less then 2 minutes, this is very simple to do and straight forward.
